Kinloch Campsite

Campsite in the Otago region

(1)

Set on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, New Zealand's longest lake, this DOC campground sits across the water from Glenorchy in a quiet, scenic corner of Otago. Non-powered tent sites suit campers who want to swim, kayak, fish or go boating, with a jetty and boat launching on hand. It's also a handy base for exploring the Caples and Greenstone tramping tracks. The setting is peaceful and open to the lake, and campers rate the sunsets here highly. Facilities include non-flush toilets, an untreated tap water supply (boil before use), and wheelchair-accessible access. A nearby bar, cafe and restaurant rounds out the spot. The campground is dog-friendly, with dogs to be kept on leads. Standard DOC fees apply.
