(2)

Set at the very tip of the northern Coromandel, Fletcher Bay Campsite is a beachfront site in a working farm setting at the end of the road. The bay is sheltered and scenic, with sweeping coastal views and a stunning beach right on your doorstep.

It's an ideal base for water sports, with swimming, boating, diving and good fishing off the rocks. Several walks lead directly from the camp, making it a great spot to explore on foot. On clear nights the lack of light pollution means exceptional star-gazing.

Facilities are basic DOC standard: non-powered tent sites, non-flush long-drop toilets, cold showers, and untreated tap water that should be boiled before use. The site is wheelchair accessible with assistance. Come prepared and self-sufficient, and it's well worth the trek up the coast for the setting alone.
