Set beside the Cobb River in the Cobb Valley, inland from Nelson, this is a spacious and consistently well-loved riverside campsite. The drive in is scenic, and stunning walks lead off directly from the camp.

The river offers good swimming and fishing, and there's plenty of room to spread out across the non-powered tent sites. Facilities are simple but useful: non-flush toilets, water drawn from the stream, and a fire pit for campfires (except during fire bans).

A little cell service can be found in some spots. It's a peaceful, attractive base for exploring the valley, whether you're here to fish, swim, walk, or simply relax by the water.
