(1)

Cascade Creek is a DOC campsite in northern Fiordland National Park, sitting alongside the road to Milford Sound and well suited to larger vehicles. It's set in classic Fiordland surrounds, peaceful and well kept, with a pleasant nature walk loop nearby.

The site offers non-powered tent sites with plenty of room, a cooking shelter, non-flush toilets, and water drawn from the stream. It is wheelchair accessible, and campfires are allowed in the fire pits except during fire bans.

Birdlife is abundant here — visitors have heard kiwi calling at night and shared the campsite with curious, friendly robins. As one of the last campsites on the route into Milford Sound, it makes a handy base for exploring the area.

Like much of Fiordland, sandflies can be heavy, so come prepared with repellent and cover up at dusk.
