Set in the hills of Battle Hill Farm Forest Park, this family-friendly campsite sits within a working farm surrounded by bush and farmland. There's a stream and river where you can swim and where the kids can splash about, plus plenty of open space to spread out. It's not too far from Wellington and handy to the ferry.

Bushwalks lead off from the camp, and if you head out along the track at night you might spot glow worms. The amenities are clean and well kept, with flushing toilets and a free electric BBQ at the Dell carpark, just clean it after use. Drinking water should be boiled first, and since it's a working farm, no dogs.

Camping's open 365 days a year. Over winter (May to November) there's no need to book, but come summer (December to April) it pays to book ahead as it fills up on weekends and holidays. Gate hours are 6am to 6pm April to September, and 6am to 8pm October to March.
