Carricktown track is stunning. From Bannockburn side the track is up hill all the way and vice versa. The track has steep climbs that has loose rocks, so controlling your traction is critical.

About half way up, you get to the Young Australian Water Wheel which is a short walk down the hill. You also cross the water race build by the old timers once or twice.

At the top of the hill, on a sunny day, you get beautiful views over Cromwell and the valley below.
